Shelter evacuates 67 cats and dogs | News | The Press and Standard

Sixty-seven animals from the Colleton County Animal Shelter were evacuated by volunteers from various rescue groups prior to Hurricane Irma. Dr. Lori Campbell, DVM, of Walterboro volunteered her time to provide the required health certificates to cross state lines for all 67 dogs and cats. Above, Shelter Manager Laura Clark snuggles with one of the cats while the dogs at right voice their approval of the move.
