The Clayton Foundation Scholarship Program was created to assist students attending South Carolina State University with the high cost of textbooks and study materials.  The Clayton Foundation will award one book scholarship in the amount of $300 each semester. Awards are open to individuals from Colleton County who are currently enrolled at South Carolina State University.  This scholarship is not renewable; however, previous recipients of this scholarship are welcome to reapply each semester.
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
n Currently enrolled at South Carolina State University;
n Attach proof of enrollment at South Carolina State University;
n Maintain a cumulative grade point average of 2.75 either in final term of attending Colleton County High or while attending South Carolina State University;
n Attach a copy of current transcript (official or unofficial); and
n Write a statement on how you plan to use your education to give back to Colleton County.
Please include your name, phone number, and email address on your statement, and send all application materials to theclaytonfoundation@gmail.com by Sept. 5.
A decision will be made by Sept. 12 and the recipient will be notified by Sept. 14.
