COLUMBIA — Kathleen Crosby Muckenfuss, 87, died Saturday, July 9, 2016.

Born December 2, 1928, on a small family farm in Walterboro, SC, she was a daughter of the late Robert Cecil Crosby and Norine Hudson Crosby.

A graduate of Walterboro High School, Kathleen attended Draughon’s Business School in Columbia, and later worked as a secretary for both the Southern National Bank in Orangeburg and the civil service department of Fort Jackson. She was a longtime member of St. James United Methodist Church.

Kathleen is survived by her husband of 69 years, William Shuler Muckenfuss, Sr.; son, William Shuler “Jackie” Muckenfuss, Jr.; daughter, Ann Sribnick (Dr. Wayne Sribnick); brother, Bob Crosby (Beverly); sister, Joyce Farmer (Fred), all of Columbia; granddaughters, Allison Sribnick of Burbank, California, and Lauren Sribnick Fell (Trent) of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. She loved all her family dearly.

A private burial will be held in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens officiated by her nephew, Pastor Ned Crosby.
