A Walterboro man has been arrested on multiple charges in the shooting death of a security guard and the wounding of a second guard in late May.

Andre N. Crawford, 23, of 300 Oak Circle in Walterboro was taken into custody Wednesday morning on charges of murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm in the commission of a violent crime.

Warrants were obtained against Crawford in the murder of Jesse Guy of Dorchester and the wounding of Bruce Anthony Martin while they were working as security guards at Club Leon at 8150 Round O Road in Round O, on the morning of May 28.

He is being held in the Colleton County Detention Center and will have a bond hearing soon.

The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation and is asking that anyone with additional information about the incident contact the sheriff’s office.

Thank you soooo much for getting the scumbag off the streets who took my granddaughter’s daddy’s life!!! We were all beginning to wonder if anyone was ever going to be arrested or if they would get away with it! Jesse was a good man, father, son, son in law and uncle! He sure as **** didn’t deserve to be killed while he was doing his job to protect others. I know an arrest won’t bring him back, but at least the whole family can have some peace now. Thank you again, Colleton County sheriff’s department!!

The guy that shot Jesse was out on bond for drugs and weapon charges at the time. What is wrong with our judicial system!!!! He was before the same judge today she said weren’t you just in here before me and didn”t I tell you to stay out of trouble.o k bond denied on attempted murder bond set at $50,000.00 for weapon charge….oOOOoo I bet he is shaking now. When a tiger is let out and it kills someone you do not blame the tiger he is just doing what tigers do you blame the zookeeper that let it out in this case I blame the state and its judges for letting this kid get by with slap on the wrist punishments. He shouldnt have been out on the streets and he already beat a murder charge in 2010 Jessica Judge murder…
