Mr. Raymond Milson Butler, Jr, 78, of Walterboro, entered into eternal rest Sunday, April 10, 2016, at the Veterans Victory House.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Beaufort National Cemetery.

Born December 21, 1937 in Georgetown, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Raymond Butler, Sr. and Jennie Kinder Butler. Raymond graduated from Summerville High School in 1957, and played football under the well-known John McKissick. He then went on to attend technical school at Midlands Technical School, where he majored in horticulture. He served our country faithfully for two years in the US Navy. He went on to work many years in the horticulture field, as well as the maintenance industry. Raymond was an avid “CB’er” and loved playing Bingo. He enjoyed attending church services at Veterans Victory House, where he lived for seven years.

Surviving are: his sisters, Carolyn Buscaglia and her husband Donald, of Summerville, and Jennie “Pin” Moore and her husband Jerry, of Summerville. He is also survived by three nieces and two nephews, as well as several cousins. Raymond was preceded in death by a sister.
