Mr. Herman Archie Webster, affectionately known to everyone as “Webb”, 83, of Jacksonboro, entered into eternal rest Thursday afternoon, May 2, 2024, at his residence. Born May 6, 1940, in Givhans, he was a son of the late Charles Hydrick Webster and Mary Jane Grooms Webster of Adams Run. Webb was a plumber by trade but better known as the owner and operator of Webb’s Store in Jacksonboro and Webb’s Restaurant in Ravenel. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Webb was an avid fisherman, loved cooking for his family and friends, and when his sons where young he enjoyed coaching their Little League Baseball team. He enjoyed talking to everyone he met and never met a stranger. He dearly loved his family, especially his grandchildren who called him “PawPaw Webby”. Surviving are: his wife, Shirley Hughes Simmons Webster of Jacksonboro; children, Donna Webster and her husband Lewis Thomas of Elgin, Mark Webster of Walterboro, Wanda Crosby of Jacksonboro, Joe Willie Webster and his wife Nicki of Walterboro, and Morton “Shag” Simmons and Nikki of Jacksonboro; sisters, Rosa Lee Webster Gay of Wilmington, North Carolina, Frances Annette Webster of Jacksonboro, Ginny Webster Mixon of Goose Creek, and Myrtle Chesser of Ravenel; brother, Mose “Muck” Green and his wife Katherine of Adams Run; grandchildren, Adam Rickards, Falynn Rickards, Aaron Thomas and his wife Becky, Heather Bullock and her husband Ben, Taylor Cole, Shyann Webster, Jessica Williams and her husband Austin, Christina DeLoach and her husband Justin, Halee Connelly and her husband James, Cloe Brunner and her husband Chase, Abbee Lou Webster, Arlee Webster, Avah Webster, Liam Webster, Skyler Simmons, and Buck Simmons; and great grandchildren, Charlotte Williams, Levi Varnadoe, Wylee Connelly, and Beckam Brunner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, St. Clair Webster, Charles H. Webster, Jr., Daniel “Dee” Webster, Dot Wannamaker, Julie Davis, Lois Barrett, and Richard Webster. Funeral services were held 1 o’clock, Monday afternoon, May 6, 2024, at Hopewell Baptist Church, Adams Run. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Arrangements By: The Brice W.
