USC Salkehatchie sophomore Justin Baxter was recognized at his last home men’s basketball game this season against Denmark Tech. For the season, he averaged 12 points and 8.1 rebounds per game.
“JB is a perfect example of what the JUCO route can lead to... growth and success! He started as a practice player, turned walk-on, turned starter, to currently leading Region 10 in FG% (64%) and is third in rebounding. He’s been a critical part of our success, and his teammates absolutely love him. I am grateful to have him on my bench and I am so excited to see what the future holds,” Coach Matt Lynch said.
