Keeping his promise Tyler Perry gifted the family of Mrs. Josephine Wright a new home on her property on Hilton Head Island.
In a David and Goliath style story, Mrs. Wright made the news when developer Bailey Point Investment attempted to acquire her ancestral land alleging parts of her home encroached on their property. The battle gained the attention and help of several celebrities such as Perry, Snoop Dogg, and Kyrie Irving.
The fight over the home and property is now finished. Wright and her family will retain the home and the property. Mr. Perry, true to his word, paid for the new home and it is anticipated it will soon be ready for move-in.
While Mrs. Josephine Wright will not get to live in this home, she accomplished what she set out to do in preserving her ancestral property for her family and future generations.
