Martha Ophelia Chisolm Miller was born on November 16th, 1937 to the late Russell and Maude Bellinger Chisolm in Walterboro, South Carolina. She spent most of her adult life in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until returning to South Carolina in July of 2001. At an early age, she met and married the late Clyde Louis Miller of Cottageville, South Carolina. Through this union, seven children were born. Martha joined Jericho United Methodist Church after returning to South Carolina until her health started failing. She sang in the senior choir and continued to sing from the pews. She was a faithful member and attended everything she was able to at Jericho UMC. Martha worked as a CNA for many years at Hillcrest Nursing Home in Milwaukee, WI. She had a compassionate heart and loving spirit who cared for others. She was loved by many. Others gravitated toward her because of her kindness and wisdom. Martha was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Eunice Williams, Edna Jones, Kathleen Bodison and Mary Bedard She leaves to cherish her memories: Her seven children, Jacquelyn (Ernest) Ford, Round O, SC, Anthony (Crystal) Miller, Milwaukee, WI, Sherrie (Kenneth) Burns Columbia, South Carolina George (Mozella) Miller, Gerald (Beverly) Miller, Darrin (Nadia) Miller all of Milwaukee, WI and Rontray (Tonya) Miller, Stockbridge, Ga. She has 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, One Aunt, Sadye Nathalee Fisher Round O, SC. A God-daughter Cindy Green Walterboro, SC. In-laws Alphonso (Mary) Miller, Walterboro, SC, Lucius Miller, Cottageville, SC Rosetta Liddell, Green Pond, SC, Gloria Bates, Charleston, SC, Gloria Lynah, Walterboro, SC and Darlene Miller of Cottageville, SC and a host of nieces and nephews.
