WALTERBORO:     William Scott “Scottie” Headden passed away unexpectedly Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2024 at the Lexington Medical Center in Lexington, SC.  He was 62. Scottie was born in Charleston October 31, 1961, a son of Dorothy Jean Langford Headden, and the late Ronald Lewis Headden.  He graduated from John C. Calhoun Academy in 1979 and then attended technical school, where he received his training and certification in welding.  Scottie spent his career working in that trade, and was known throughout the area for his skill as a welder.   He was also a talented mechanic who loved spending time working on all types of cars and trucks.  He was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers, and was an exceptional pool player who will truly be missed.   In addition to his mother, Scottie is survived by his brothers Richard Steven Headden (Kathy), and Alan Stacy Headden (Michelle).  There are six nieces and nephews, and six great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, April 12, 2024 at 2:00 in the chapel of Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home, with burial following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 at the funeral home, located at 117 Paul Street in Walterboro.
