Nathaniel Oliver of Dorchester escorted Mia, Miguel, Chase and Lou to Storytime at the Colleton Memorial Library on April 23. Oliver and his two goats, Mia and Miguel, and his two horses, Chase and Lou, were the special visitors to the Spring Break Surprise attended by approximately 35 library visitors.

The children got the chance to ride the horses and play with and feed the goats. Oliver is the uncle of Colleton Memorial Library Children’s Librarian Shiela Keaise. Before retiring, she explained, her uncle spent years as a cowboy and she grew up riding horses with him. She didn’t get a chance to ride during the library event, her time taken up either controlling the horses or goats. “Miguel is young but very strong,” Keaise said.
“Things went well. We had a great time,” Keaise added.
