The War Hawks will travel to St. George Thursday evening for the PRTC Bowl where they will face rival Dorchester Academy (3-3, 2-0) in a 7:30 p.m. kick-off. The game will broadcast on PRTC’s Channel 57 at a later date.

With 8:45 remaining in the first half, Bethesda’s Treyson Sparks scored on a 78-yard run (kick failed) to improve their advantage to 12-7 over CPA. They scored on the first series in the second half (conversion failed) and then scored again with 1:29 left in the third to put them up 24-7. Bethesda added two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
Gabe Barnes accumulated 46 yards rushing in the game. Drew Murdaugh had 42 yards and Francis Blubaugh had 37 yards.
Jesse Murdaugh led the War Hawks at linebacker on defense with eight solo tackles and one assist.
“We love this team,” said Coach Rob Gorrell Sunday afternoon. “We are very, very close and just have to keep fighting. We still have a shot at the playoffs, but it is win or stay home for us. The kids are ready to work for Thursday night and they are excited to play in the PRTC Bowl.”
