Walterboro – Roland F. Wilmot died October 20, 2018 at home after a short battle with cancer.

Roland was the son of the late Oscar C. Wilmot and the late Camilla Arnold. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965-1969.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tracy Lorraine Wilmot.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Shirley (Hamilton) Wilmot, and three children: Oscar Wilmot, Jodi Barrett (Theron), and George Wilmot (Jennifer); eight grandchildren: Charlie Wilmot, Robert Wilmot, Hunter Barrett, Deanna (Tyler) Proper, Devin Ahern, Derrik Ahern, Genevieve Wilmot, and Geordan Wilmot; and two great-grandchildren: Alley A. Wilmot and Serenity Proper.

 Memorial services will be held November 3, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Bethel United Methodist Church of Walterboro.
