The Colleton Prep War Hawk Football game against Branchville High School was rained out Friday evening.
The War Hawks trailed 8-0 in the second quarter when threatening weather forced the game to be called. According to Coach Rob Gorrell, the game will not be made up nor will it count toward their record.
“We were down by eight with the ball in their territory,” said Gorrell. “We were fine and had settled down after three fumbles in the first quarter. We did a good job of staying focused in the game after a less-than-stellar start. Now, we are back to a new start and know what we need to work on.”
Colleton Prep will host Hilton Head Prep on Friday Aug. 24 at home in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. The Dolphins are off to a 1-0 start on the 2018-19 season after a 45-0 win over Northside Christian Academy last week.
