PRTC’s Volleyball Kickoff to be Saturday

The 2018 PRTC Volleyball Kickoff Tournament will take place Saturday Aug. 25 with both area high school teams participating.
The kickoff is a joint fundraiser between Colleton County High School and Colleton Prep Academy and is held each year during the preseason.
This year’s tournament will field 25 teams, utilizing five courts at Colleton County High School main gym, CCHS auxiliary gym, Colleton Prep, CCMS gym and USC Salkehatchie. Colleton County will field two teams (Team 1 and Team 2) and Colleton Prep will field its varsity team in Saturday’s event.
Teams will begin play at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday and play five pool brackets in a round robin format. Playoff seeding will be determined by pool play and is scheduled to begin around 4 p.m.
The Lady Cougars Team 1 will face Hardeeville-Ridgeland at 8:30 a.m., Beaufort Academy at 10 a.m., Bishop England JV at 12:15 p.m. and John Paul II at 1:45 with all games scheduled to be played in the main CCHS gym.
The Lady Hawks take on Beaufort High School at 8:30 a.m., Estill High School at 10 a.m., Charleston Math and Science at 12:15 p.m. and Phillip Simmons High School at 1:45 p.m. with all games scheduled to be played at Colleton Prep.
Colleton County’s Team 2 plays Bishop England Varsity at 10 a.m., Stratford High School at 11:30 a.m., Bamberg High School at 1 p.m. and Beaufort JV at 2:30 p.m. with all games scheduled to be played in the CCHS auxiliary gym.
Teams participating in the PRTC Volleyball Kickoff include Bluffton Junior Varsity, Hilton Head Christian Academy, Cathedral Academy, Goose Creek High School, Dorchester Academy, Bishop England Varsity, Beaufort Junior Varsity, Stratford High School, Bamberg High School, Bishop England Junior Varsity, Beaufort Academy, John Paul II, Hardeeville-Ridgeland, Branchville, Hilton Head Prep Academy, Bluffton High School Varsity, Andrew Jackson Academy, Wade Hampton High School, Charleston Math and Science, Estill High School, Phillip Simmons High School and Beaufort High School Varsity.
The cost of admission for Saturday’s event is $10 for adults and under five years free.
