The week-long course is designed to enhance the basic attitude, knowledge and skills required to practice the art of leadership.
The academy promoted habits of orderliness and precision, challenged the cadets to push their physical and intellectual limits, and instilled personal honor, self-reliance and confidence.

The next school year, Cadet McClendon will serve in the capacity of platoon commander. Cadet Ellison will be serving as unit supply officer and armed drill team commander. Cadet Jennings will serve as unit administration officer and orienteering team commander.
Additionally, the NJROTC Unit will conduct its Summer Freshman Orientation Training on July 30-Aug. 1 from 10 a.m.-noon. The training will be held at Colleton County High School’s NJROTC Complex, and all incoming freshman currently enrolled, or those considering enrollment in NJROTC, may attend.
