CCHS held youth retreat in May

The Office of Student Services held its annual Youth Retreat on Friday May 18 on the theme #ItsNever2Late. The retreat was held at the Adult Education Center located at 609 Colleton Loop. Students from both Colleton County High School and Colleton County Middle School attended.
The keynote speaker for the event was Brandon Williams, school bus driver and positive behavior support specialist. Following the keynote speaker, students attended sessions led by: Sterling Hicks (Colleton County Commission on Drug and Alcohol), Torsha Anderson (Department of Juvenile Justice), Ray Goyochea (Hopeful Horizons) and Theola Pits and culminary arts students (Thunderbolt Career and Technology Center). Sheriff Andy Strickland closed the program giving attendees words of encouragement.
“The Office of Student Services would like to send a special thank you to all sponsors, program participants, and student helpers from Colleton County High School and Colleton County Middle School for making this a meaningful and enjoyable event for our future leaders,” said Cordelia Jenkins, OSS director.
