Walterboro residents Sandra Ferguson, Kris Moore, Holly Mardell, Matt Mardell and Gale Doggette, entered and all finished a half-marathon (13.1 miles) held Saturday in Savannah. Doggette and Ferguson were slated to run a full marathon (26.2 miles) but injuries prohibited a try at the longer distance. The race was Moore’s first half-marathon. “I loved it, it was very exciting,” said Moore. “I can’t wait for the next one.” All racers pictured are members of the Walterboro Running Club. The club’s monthly pub runs are free and open to all runners. For info, see their Facebook page.
