Open Position Director, Colleton Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse Until Filled Along with the base salary will come adjustments commensurate with education, credentialing, and work experience in the field of substance use disorders. Reporting to the Chairperson of the Colleton Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, the Director is responsible for creation, implementation, and sustainability of the organizations substance use disorder programs and services that are delivered to citizens of Colleton County and others from across SC when appropriate. The Director ensures that the organization remains licensed by the SC DHEC and accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. (CARF) They must also ensure that the Governing Terms of the SC DAODAS are adhered to in order to continue to receive federal, state, and local resources designated specifically to the organization. The Director ensures that there are enough qualified personnel to fulfill the obligations of the organization and that those who are in direct counseling services are adequately trained, supervised and credentialed according to their supervision plan. The Director must be able to work with administrative and clinical personnel in order to comply with existing requirements and expectations guided by the organizations mission and vision. The Director is expected to understand the trends in health care and particularly behavioral health care and to investigate, promote, and guide the organization with long-term sustainability strategies.
