Fourteen tractors and 33 classic cars showed up to wow over 300 people who attended Saturday’s Fall Festival held at Doctors Creek Baptist Church.
Jerry Immel of Walterboro won Best of Show in the tractor show with his 1952 John Deere A model.
Winners in the car show were Fred Crosby’s 1957 Belair; Mike Crosby’s 1967 Chevy Malibu; and Wimpy Soyle’s 1962 Impala SS.
Volunteer cooks prepared over 400 hamburgers and hotdogs which were given away to those attending. Bubba Avant drove a tractor pulling the hayride trailer, and youngsters enjoyed a variety of fall-themed games.
This was the third year the church has sponsored the festival, but the first time for the car and tractor show, said Fred Crosby, who was one of the organizers. “It was a great day,” he said.
