Colleton Medical Center was recently recognized for its outstanding participation and work done for the HCA March of Dimes.
The team at HCA recognized the hospital and its efforts made by awarding the CMC team $5,000 to be used toward its nursery.
March of Dimes strives to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. Through the support of Colleton Medical Center, fundraising efforts and donations made to the March of Dimes, many families will be given an opportunity at a healthy life.
Colleton Medical Center’s team organized a campaign that included a bake sale, golf tournament, yard sale, used book sale and other various sponsorships and fundraisers. The hospital was able to raise over $18,000 for the cause.
“There are many families doing extraordinary things to help babies and here at Colleton Medical Center, we also wanted to show our support for these families,” said Jimmy Hiott, CEO of Colleton Medical Center.
