The Colleton County Parks and Recreation Department hosted an overflow makeshift campground in the empty field across from Colleton County Middle School during last week’s FestiVELO. Campers had access to electricity and a mobile shower/restroom was brought in for their use.
“We were asked if we could provide overflow camping this year, since last year’s FestiVELO filled up the local campgrounds,” said Chris Myers, director of CCP&R. “We were glad to be of assistance with the event. It was a very neat setup with campers and tents.”
