Old Bulldog Stadium popped up on the executive session agenda for Colleton County Board of Education’s special meeting on Oct. 24.
The agenda listed board members as discussing a contractual matter concerning the old high school stadium in the 500 block of Black Street.
School Superintendent Dr. Franklin Foster said because the conversation was held behind closed doors, he could not offer any specifics about what type of contractual matter had been the topic of discussion.
The stadium property has been for sale for approximately three years. Coldwell Banker Todd Land Agency has been handling the listing of the real estate.
According to the Todd Land Agency website, the school district is seeking $126,000 for the 15 acres of land. The concrete portion of the stadium measures 12,000 square feet.
The start of the process of an evaluation of the school superintendent was also on the executive session agenda.
After returning to open session, the board did not take any action.
