Daryn Kelly Hooker is a senior at Colleton County High School where she plays tennis and soccer for the Lady Cougars. She is the daughter of Robbie and Becky Hooker of Walterboro. Her grandparents are Danny and Margaret Dandridge and Erwin and Martie Hooker. Daryn is a member of the CCHS Student Council, National Honor Society, CCHS Chorus and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has a 4.6 GPA.
Academic Awards: Academic Letter (9th, 10th, 11th), Golden Paw (9th, 10th, 11th)
Athletic Awards: Rookie of the Year Tennis (2012), Coaches Award Soccer (2017)
College Interest: Georgia Southern University and Clemson University
Intended Field of Study: Health/Child and Family Development
Collegiate Athletics: I would love to participate in intramural sports like tennis or soccer, but not on the collegiate level.
On Soccer: I’ve been very blessed with the ability to play all the sports that I love with my best friends. Soccer has always been my favorite sport because I enjoy playing with the team and encouraging one another.
Role Model: I consider both of my parents role models because they are very hardworking and encourage me to try my best at all things.
Powerful High School Lesson: Small acts of kindness, noticed or not, can make the biggest difference.
