Driver killed in Sunday crash | News | The Press and Standard

A Summerville pickup truck driver was killed the evening of Oct. 8 when his vehicle went off the roadway on Peirce Road near Cottageville.
According to the report filed by the South Carolina Highway Patrol the driver, the lone occupant of a Ford pickup truck, was headed north on Peirce Road near McDanieltown Road on Oct. 8 at 7:08 p.m. when his truck went off the right side of the roadway.
After leaving the roadway, the driver managed to get his vehicle back on the roadway. Then he went off the right side again, the truck hitting a ditch and overturning.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was trapped underneath of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident by Colleton County Coroner Richard Harvey.
Harvey identified the deceased as Mcarthur Sanders, 56, of Summerville.

    Mac was a great man. I have worked with him for the last 8.5 years.
    He will be missed. Prayers go out to his family
