Over 3,500 band fans attended the 40th annual Walterboro Band Classic on Saturday Sept. 30 at the Colleton County High School Stadium.
Area bands had beautiful weather conditions with a big crowd on hand for the annual event. The Band of Blue Booster club reported a good turnout that ended the day with the home stands packed and the away stands with visiting bands.
The Band of Blue Booster club hosted the annual event for the 40th consecutive year.
Tom Finigan, director of the Band of Blue said, “A big thank you goes out to all of the parents, friends and families who came out and made Saturday a huge success! The community support for this event is outstanding year after year.”
This annual event had 12 bands perform from all over the Lowcountry. Performing bands included Bamberg HS, A.C.
