Lady Cougars pick up region win against Stags | Sports | The Press and Standard

The Colleton County Lady Cougar varsity volleyball team picked up a region win against Berkeley last week to bring them to 3-4 overall and 2-1 in Region 8-AAAA.
Last Tuesday Aug. 29, Colleton County traveled to Ashley Ridge to compete in a tri-match that included Hanahan. The Lady Cougars lost to Hanahan in two straight sets (25-12, 25-14) before losing to Ashley Ridge (25-10, 25-13).
The Lady Cougars picked up their second region win Thursday Aug. 31 against Berkeley in two sets (25-19, 25-18).
The JV team notched their first victory of the season against Hanahan (25-22, 25-16) and lost to Ashley Ridge (25-7, 25-12). Later in the week, they defeated Berkeley (25-20, 25-9) for their first region win of the season.
“It was a great week for the Lady Cougars with JV and varsity, picking up region wins over Berkeley,” said Coach Yvonne Duncan.
