The Bible says in Luke 6:38, “Give, and it shall be given unto you; … For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
That is exactly what I have seen in the last few days.
As we made preparations to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey, God was preparing us to receive His blessings in return.
Many of you prayed and donated items that were sent on to Texas, even though we ourselves were being faced with a potential storm even larger and more devastating than we had seen in some time.
God honored our efforts, and in return, we were sent supplies that are now in abundance! Not only were we able to help some people who were suffering the effects of Hurricane Harvey, but now we were looking to help anyone locally affected by Hurricane Irma.
God decided to move the storm away from us and spared us what we were certainly dreading.
The Lord supplied us with pallets of water and ready to eat food as well as paper products that we can give to those suffering the affects of Irma.
We donated some of these supplies to several people traveling back to Florida and Georgia. Many of them have no idea what they will be facing upon their arrival. We just hope that though they have faced loss and devastation, we could somehow make their trip a little easier.
We are now making preparations to send the rest of these supplies down into the harder hit areas of Georgia and Florida. Our Disaster Relief Network is still sending tractor trailer loads of food, tarps, chainsaws, and other necessities to Texas, Florida, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Anguilla, Antigua, St. Marten, St. Thomas, and St. John.
The need is great! Trucks, drivers, fuel, supplies — whatever we can do, we are willing!
Thanks again to all of you who have helped and for those who will continue to help.
God has been good to us and this is a way we can express our gratitude…by giving to others.
