Curtis Inabinett Jr. of Ravenel has been recognized by the Florida Authors and Publishers Association Presidential Book Awards for his book “The Legendary Florida A&M University Marching Band, The History of the Hundred.”
He was awarded silver and bronze medals in the categories of adult non-fiction and biographies.
The non-fiction biography, published by Page Publishing, tells the history of the award-winning band from 1941-2015.
Medals were presented at the annual FAPA Presidential Book Awards banquet in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
“We are proud to announce Curtis Inabinett Jr. from Ravenel as one of this year’s winners, who truly embodies the excellence this award was created to celebrate,” said FAPA President Terri Terrell. “We had a record number of entries this year. Competition was stiff, and we salute all of our winners for their fine work.”
