New principals announced for Forest Hills, Hendersonville announced | News | The Press and Standard

The Colleton County School Board of Trustees voted on Tuesday May 16 to accept the two following recommendations for administrative positions presented by Franklin L. Foster, EdD, superintendent, for the 2017-18 school year.

• Amy Liebenrood, Principal, Forest Hills Elementary School – Mrs. Liebenrood, currently serving as an assistant principal at Cottageville Elementary School, has been employed with Colleton County School District for four years and has been an educator for 31 years. She has served as a teacher, master teacher, and assistant principal. She is a graduate of Francis Marion University and the University of Phoenix.

• Marcella Owens, Principal, Hendersonville Elementary School – Ms. Owens is currently serving as an assistant principal at Colleton County Middle School and has been employed as an educator with Colleton County School District for three years. An educator for 13 years, she has served as a teacher, instructional coach and assistant principal. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, Webster University and Capella University.

Additionally, Dr. Foster is pleased to announce that effective July 1, Ellen Fitch will assume the position of Director of Student Nutrition. Mrs. Fitch has been serving as the interim director for the past school year and has been employed with the district for 17 years and has served in numerous positions to support student nutrition. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina.
