In a spring break game, the Colleton Prep varsity baseball team defeated Porter Gaud 5-4 on Wednesday April 12. Nick Padgett lofted a 2-RBI home run in the fifth inning to give the War Hawks the go-ahead run.
Chris Reeves started on the hill for the Hawks and lasted through four innings, allowing just two earned runs. In relief, Joe Bryan threw the final three innings, allowing no earned runs.
Following last week’s win, CPA sits at 9-5 overall and 6-3 in Region 4-AA. The War Hawks are scheduled to face Holly Hill (home), St. Andrews (away) and Dorchester Academy (away) this week.
