ROUND O – Mrs. Wanda Sue Davis, age 64, of Round O, entered into rest Thursday, February 16, 2017, at River Oaks in Beaufort, after a long battle with cancer. She was the widow of Mr. George Benjamin Davis.
Born June 11, 1952, in Mingo County, West Virginia, she was raised in Columbus, Ohio prior to making South Carolina her home. Mrs. Davis was a retired service manager from Rizer Chevrolet in Walterboro and for many years owned and operated a pet grooming salon in Walterboro.
Mrs. Davis was very proud of her children, and was a fantastic mother. She was a helicopter mom before the term was coined. She was very outspoken and she definitely let you know what she thought. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving are: a son, Jerry Davis of Round O; a daughter, Shawna Collins and her husband Kelly of Monroe, North Carolina; a step-son, George “Benny” Davis and his wife Angie of Campobello, South Carolina; four grandchildren, James, Robert, Cody, and Aspen Davis; three great grandchildren, Lucy, Emma, and Justin; and one cat, Garfield, who is now residing in Monroe, NC.
