Ware and Mescia combine for no-hitter.

The Lady War Hawk softball team cruised to a 15-0 shutout over John Paul II on Wednesday March 15 at home. Colleton Prep scored 11 runs in the second inning to put the game well out of reach of the Golden Warriors.  
Sophomore Meredith Ware picked up the win in the circle for Colleton Prep. In two innings of work, Ware faced six batters and fanned four, allowing no hits. Nina Mescia pitched one inning of hitless relief, striking out one.
Penelope Tuten went 1-for-2 at the plate and provided 4-RBI’s. Haley Wilson went 1-for-1, walking twice and collecting 4-RBI’s. Anne Garrett Carter went 2-for-2 with 2 RBI’s and scored twice. Also recording hits in the winning effort were Mescia, Elizabeth Anne Dean and Weslin Jones.
Colleton Prep was scheduled to host Dorchester Academy on Monday March 20 and Laurence Manning Tuesday March 21.
