Academic Awards: Honor Roll, Good Citizenship Award, Perfect Attendance and Superintendent’s List
Athletic Awards: JV Volleyball: Most Valuable Player (2013) and All-Star Player Award (2014); Basketball: Cougar Award (2016).
College Interest: Coastal Carolina
Intended Major: Culinary Arts, Business and Finance
Career Plans: My plans are to join the Army and complete basic training during my senior year. I hope to be an E-5 sergeant in the Army.
Collegiate Athletics: Yes, I would like to participate in either volleyball or basketball in college.
Early Years: I began playing volleyball when I was around 11 years old. One of my favorite memories is going to Myrtle Beach to participate in the SCSHL AAAA Volleyball Playoffs and making it to the second round.
On Basketball: I love putting in the hard work over the summer, so the season will be more successful. Coach Perry Smalls really believes in us and loves us like his own.
Role Model: My father, Mike, is my role model because he manages to balance his profession, while still finding time for his family and making everyone around him happy. He has taught me to choose what is right and use my failures as my backbone — bringing my way to success.
Meaningful Experience: I used to get in trouble a lot, but after the consequences my parents gave me, I grew up and matured.
Powerful High School Lesson: You don’t come to school for friends — you come for an education. Not everyone is going to be your friend.
Standout Educator: Cyrus Birch, who is my JAG teacher, is one of my favorites because he stays on me about my grades. He helps us learn things that will benefit us in real life like filling out a résumé.
Surprising Michele fact: I am really a happy person who loves to smile and laugh.
Meet & Greet: I would love to have had the opportunity to meet Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. because he changed the way we live.
On CCHS: If I could change something about CCHS, it would definitely be lunch. It would be nice to have some seasoning occasionally!
