Students at Colleton County Middle School celebrated local veterans on Friday Nov. 11 with a program in the mini-auditorium.
The Colleton County High School NJROTC opened the program with the presentation of colors, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Koiye Simpson. The National Anthem was sung by Reba Sechrist, Lexie Spooner, Summer Ross, Esmeralda Morales-Flores and Emily Pinckney.
Lexie Spooner welcomed veterans who attended the program. CCMS students Yair Caudillo, Taylor Dye and Jermia Christian then spoke on “What Patriotism Means to Me.”
