VARNVILLE- Pamela Jeanne Clifton Mixson passed away Monday at her home in Varnville.  She was 56.

Pamela was born in Hampton County April 3, 1960 a daughter of Dorothy Crews Clifton and the late Donald Gordon Clifton Sr.  She was a loyal and giving person, whose passing will leave a void in the hearts of her family and friends.  She loved the beach and dolphins, and was a devoted daughter, mother, sister and grandmother.

She is survived by her mother and step-father, Dorothy and Scott Haskell of Walterboro.  She has two children:   Michael David Grooms of Macon, GA, and Chelsea Lane Mixson (Larry Youmans) of Round O.  She has three siblings:  Dianne Tomberlin (Mike) of Forsythe, GA, Jewel Napier of Charleston, and Donald G. Clifton Jr. of Macon.  She leaves behind a step-sister, Amanda Denise Stafford, and her beloved granddaughter, Lyla Youmans.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 in the Sandy Run Cemetery near Varnville.  Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro is in charge of arrangements.
