On Saturday Oct. 22, In His Name-Colleton will be helping to clean up debris from Hurricane Matthew. Most of the trees have been cut, but the debris needs to be moved out to the road right-of-way to be picked up by the county.
Any youth group or church members who would like to help may come to the old radio station building at 724 S. Jefferies Blvd in Walterboro at 9 a.m. Saturday Oct. 22. Volunteers will meet there and go out to various parts of the county to help residents clean up the debris left by Matthew. Any adults with a chain saw to cut anything that may be too big for the group to move will be appreciated.
Youth will not be allowed to use a chain saw unless a parent is there to be responsible.
Everyone interested in helping should bring work gloves and safety glasses.
