Cougars back in action against Stags on Friday | Sports | The Press and Standard

Senior Night has been postponed until Friday Nov. 11 home game.


Following a long two-week break due to Hurricane Matthew, the Colleton County Cougar football team will return to region play at home this Friday evening against the Berkeley Stags. The Cougars enter Friday night at 2-4 overall and 0-1 in region play, while the Stags are 4-2 overall and 1-0 in Region 8-AAAA.
Heading into Friday’s game, the Cougars remain under the direction of Interim Head Coach Neil Smith, while Chris Collins, Colleton County High School’s athletic director and head football coach, remains on paid administrative leave with full benefits.
Friday evening’s game against Berkeley will be televised as part of the TruMoo Friday Night Rivals game of the week.
This Friday was originally slated to be Senior Night; however,  Colleton County will now honor its seniors in a home game on Friday Nov. 11 against Hilton Head.
The Cougars will travel to Beaufort on Friday Nov. 4 for a region match-up against Beaufort.
