This photo submitted by Bill Connelly of San Antonio, Tx., shows, from left, his mother Mary Connelly; her sister, NormaMae; aunt Susie Breland; Uncle Carey and Aunt Molly with their five children, Dallas, Heyward, Vernon, Colleen and Edith. The third person on the right is unknown. The house in the background is the home of Carey and Molly, and the Connelly homestead is across the road. The picture was taken in Rum Gully about 1920. Bill Connelly is also looking for a copy of the book “Rum Gully Roots” by Edna B. Carroll. Anyone with any information, please email editor@lowcountry.com.

The book is for sale on Barnes & Noble for $17.87. My great great grandmother was a Connelly from that area. I’d love to know the story behind the photo also.
