Three arrested for recent burglaries in Miley area | Crime | The Press and Standard

Three people were arrested Monday by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office and face various charges for recent burglaries of businesses in the Miley area of Hampton County.
“These arrests were due to the hard work of my officers, as well as officers from Barnwell County, and we appreciate their help in making an arrest in this case,” Hampton County Sheriff T.C. Smalls said. “We continue to remain vigilant in solving crime in Hampton County.”
Officers responded to several calls of burglaries over the past month in Miley, including thefts from the Ducoa Plant, Lightsey Brothers Railroad and the Salkehatchie Ridge Hunting Club.
The three arrested included two suspects from Hampton County and one who was arrested in Barnwell County following the burglaries.
The three arrested included:
Paul Arthur Fisher Jr., 43, of 809 Shaw Drive, Hampton, was arrested by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office on June 27 and charged with two counts of burglary, third degree.
Benjamin Crapse Jr., 32, of 24148 Old Salkehatchie Road, Brunson, was arrested by the Hampton County Sheriff’s Office on June 27 and charged with two counts of burglary, first degree.
Tamara Gail Summerow, 24, of 1125 Bert Terry Road, Brunson, was arrested by the Barnwell County Sheriff’s Office and charged with possession of stolen property from Hampton County.
Some of the many items recovered by officers included copper wire, tools, locomotive batteries, respirators, hunting equipment and other items. The investigation is ongoing.
