The Walterboro Dixie Angels split a double-header against Bluffton in the X-Play District All-Star Tournament Monday evening at the ACE Basin Sports Complex, forcing a decision game.
The Angels earned an 8-7 come-from-behind win in game one before taking a 12-2 loss in game two. They were scheduled to play at 6 p.m. Tuesday to determine which team advances to the X-Play State Tournament set to begin July 8 in Florence.
MaKayla Voss pitched a complete game for the win in game one, striking out four and surrendering four walks. Shandi Brown and Voss combined for the loss in game two.
Leading the offensive effort in game one for Walterboro was Christasia Holmes with a 3-RBI triple to right center. In game two, Holmes and Sidney Bailey crossed home plate.
