COTTAGEVILLE:  Mr. Ronald David Preveaux, husband of Eva W. Preveaux, died Monday afternoon at Trident Medical Center in Charleston. He was 72.

Mr. Preveaux was born in Charleston July 13, 1943. He was a heavy equipment mechanic, and was also a retired salesman with Cummins-Atlantic, Inc.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Kevin Preveaux of Savannah, and Brian Preveaux (Joy) of York. There are four grandchildren: Allen, Steven, Erin and Matthew. He has three great-grandchildren: Emma, Natalie and Jaxson. Mrs. Preveaux leaves behind three siblings: James Preveaux, Steve Fountain, and Karen Fountain. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar James Preveaux and Edith Boykin Preveaux Fountain, by the couple that raised him from an early age, Howell E. Easterling and Lula Mae Griffin Easterling, and by a daughter-in-law Lynn Preveaux.

A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6-8 PM at the Parker-Rhoden Funeral Home of Walterboro. Burial will be private.
