Shouts of victory and defeat could be heard all-around during last Friday’s Field Day at Forest Hills Elementary. The students, teachers and parents attending the fun-filled day enjoyed activities such as the balloon pop, softball toss, 40-yard dash, hula hoop contest, beach ball race, jump rope and plank race.
Jessica Booth and Matt Rhodes, physical education teachers at Forest Hills, planned and organized the events for first through fifth grade.
“It is a day where the students can get outside and compete against all of their friends from other classes,” said Rhodes. “The number one thing is that they enjoy themselves.”
