College plans: Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College or University of South Carolina-Aiken.
Career goals: I plan to major in biology and would like to be an anesthesiologist one day.
On softball: I love the way the sport opens up the door to new friendships. I also enjoy it because it has taught me a lot about working as a team.
Time machine travel: I would travel back to my ninth-grade year and message as many college coaches as possible — because I would have loved the opportunity to continue playing softball.
Role model: My parents are my biggest role models because they have taught me invaluable lessons and helped me though everything.
Powerful high school lesson: A friend isn’t going to always be a friend.
Impact teacher: Mrs. Lynn Stroble has been one of the best teachers I could have asked for in high school. She helped me tremendously with math and I really want to thank her for being there for me. She has helped me learn a lot and she is the best teacher anyone could ever have.
Surprising Skylar fact: Most girls may not enjoy it, but I love to hunt! Every Saturday from August 15 to January 1, I’m hunting with my dad — no matter what!
Meet & greet: George Strait, because he has been through so much and is still going strong.
Election 2016: I have no clue about the election.
