The JV Lady Hawks defeated Andrew Jackson 14-8 at home. Haley Bootle and Rachel Wright combined for the win. Langley Harter was 4-for-4 at the plate for Colleton Prep. Wright was 2-for-3 and Ella Nolte was 3-for-4 in the game.
Against Clarendon Hall, the JV team earned an 11-9 victory over the Saints. Wright earned the win in the circle for CPA and helped her effort by going 2-for-4 at the plate. Taylor Tomedolskey was a perfect 3-for-3 on the day.
“It was a great week of hitting for the JV team,” said Coach Mallory Crawford. “We are still trying to focus on defense and cutting out the errors. They are also really developing and trying hard to learn the game from a mental aspect.”
Colleton Prep JVs took a 4-3 loss against Andrew Jackson on the road. Bootle took the loss for the Lady Hawks, giving up only two hits and no earned runs. Wright led at the plate, going 2-for-3 on the day. Harter, Nolte and Bootle each had a hit in the contest.
“We were not alive in this game,” said Crawford. “We gave up too many errors. Our bats are usually better than they displayed in this game.”
