The Colleton Prep JV War Hawk Baseball team remains undefeated on the season after two wins last week on Haynes Field. Against Hilton Head Christian, the Hawks got an 11-3 win. Dawson Sweat got the start for Colleton Prep, before giving way to Kyle Hooker. Leading hitters were Pete Peters and Brandon Polk.
The JV Hawks continued their winning ways last Thursday evening, defeating Thomas Heyward 13-5. Colleton Prep fell behind in the top of the first inning by three runs, but answered with two of their own in the bottom half. CPA then tacked on five additional runs in both the second and third innings, easily distancing themselves.
The War Hawks were led by Pete Peters, who had two hits and batted in four runs in the game.
Brantley Strickland and Charlton Griffin combined on the mound to limit the Thomas Heyward Rebels to five hits.
Currently leading the JV Hawks at the plate is Dawson Sweat batting .444. Pete Peters and Dylan Kinard are both batting .333 on the year.
The War Hawks will host Calhoun and Pinewood this week.
