JV Cougars split with Bluffton | Sports | The Press and Standard

The Cougar JV Baseball team split its series against Bluffton last week with a win and a loss.
On Wednesday April 6, Colleton County earned a 6-0 shutout against the JV Bobcats on the road. The Cougars scored three runs in the second inning, one in the third and four in the fourth. Chase Hadwin collected the win with five innings of work, scattering six hits. Lane Lee provided one inning of relief, allowing one hit.
Austin Barwick had three hits for Colleton County to lead the offensive effort. Jackson Morelli and Ethan Bryan had two hits each, while Jordan Crosby and Tristan Hiott each had a hit.
Bluffton earned a little revenge when they arrived at Cougar Park on Friday with a 3-0 win over Colleton County. The Bobcats scored two in the first inning and one in the sixth. Ethan Bryan took the loss, pitching through two innings, allowing two runs on three hits. Austin Barwick took the mound for four innings, allowing one run on two hits. Lane Lee closed the game, giving up no runs or hits.
Leading the Cougar offensive effort was Barwick with a double. Keel Murdaugh and James McDowell each had singles.
