Great American Cleanup collects 32 bags of litter | News | The Press and Standard

During the Great American Cleanup, volunteers cleared Walterboro streets of a total of 32 bags of litter along Robertson Boulevard.
“It was a very successful event considering we put it together in two weeks and haven’t had a cleanup in approximately three years,” said organizer William Smyly.
Volunteer awards included:
• Weirdest piece of Litter: Ionized Salt collected by David Breland
• Oldest Volunteer: Bill Ehney
• Youngest Volunteer: Janet Taylor
• Most Entertaining: David Breland and Bryce Smyly.
Volunteers at the event included: Brianne Buckner, Jonae Ford, Sorai Taylor, Janet Taylor, Jean Nettles, Jean Harrigal, Myhcal Wright, Bill Ehney, Debriah Miller, Ms. Stievendes, Debroah Miller, Kortney Edwards, Madison Miller and William Smyly.
Other supporters included: Phillip Taylor and Saints Center Ministries, who donated the use of the church; Lesley Jamison, who gathered sheriff’s officers to patrol the area; and Maryann Seals who recruited volunteers.
