Tools taken in Round O
A member of the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office was called to a logging operation off Round O Road in Round O the morning of March 7 when employees returning to the work site discovered that a truck had been broken into and tools taken.
Missing from the truck were hand and power tools worth an estimated $3,900. A check of the area found tracks from a four-wheeler leading up to the truck.
Thieves steal kitichen cabinets
A burglary report sent Colleton County Sheriff’s Office deputies to a home on Brights Court in Waterboro the morning of March 7.
Someone had entered the home through a rear window.
Gone from the residence were a $2,000 lawn mower, $88 grill, $400 generator, $350 compressor, $200 weed eater and kitchen cabinets valued at $300.
Truck stolen to haul off items
The sheriff’s office was called to a vacant building on Peurifoy Road March 4 at 8:20 a.m. after a burglary was discovered.
The victim told deputies that the break-in occurred sometime between March 1 and March 4.
From inside the residence, someone had taken a $1,122 television, a dryer worth $689, a washer worth $896, a computer worth $1,238 and a $189 video game.
The culprits had apparently loaded the stolen items onto a $5,000 pickup truck parked on the property and driven off.
