Cougars lose 5th straight, heading into H.I.T tourney | Sports | The Press and Standard

The Cougar Baseball team lost its fifth consecutive game of the season last week against Berkeley 9-2. Colleton County heads into the spring break H.I.T Tournament at 3-8 overall and 0-3 in region play.
Lake Bozeman got the start for the Cougars on the mound and saw two innings of work. Seven runs were scored during Bozeman’s outing, none of which were earned. Bozeman had three strikeouts, allowed one walk and eight hits. Clay Lockerman pitched five innings of relief for Colleton County, allowing two earned runs on six hits. Lockerman had two walks and three K’s.
Colleton County recorded five hits in the game: Timmy Hickman, Michael Thigpen, Clay Lockerman, Reese Penfield and Cody Cox.
The Cougars will be back in region action, following the spring break H.I.T Tournament against Bluffton in a three-game series set to begin on Monday April 4 at home.
